A Different Era for Orcas
I has some work around Penn Cove on Whidbey Island this week. Penn Cove was one the site of an Orca roundup. It was one of these well publicized captures that led to a shift in thinking about Orcas and hunting for capturing was banned
Dan McShane is an engineering geologist with Stratum Group, a geology and environmental consulting company based in Bellingham, Washington. Dan has been reading Washington State landscapes since driving across the Horse Heaven Hills with his father and brother in 1970. Dan's wife has started painting Washington landscapes.
