Gaza - Whatcom County
When looking at maps or reading or traveling I find it helps with perspective by placing the location on my own familiar landscape. So this morning I drew a rough outline of Gaza over my home territory.

Since a considerable portion of the Palestinian population appears to be supplied with Lake Whatcom water, let's hope there will be continued cooperation with the Israelis on mutually beneficial lake protection issues - regardless of other ongoing political and military conflicts.
